After our exciting and eventful vacation in the summer, we had made big plans to take our off-roader on the road again at the turn of the year.

Big in the sense of: big city! While last year we were already in an impressive metropolis with Paris, this time it should be a decent number more…. London! *wow* 😮

Wait, we need passports for that – after all, the great Britain is no longer Europe. Good – we apply quickly and yes, the passports will be ready in time.

When we started planning exactly what we wanted to see and do in London, it quickly became clear that tickets for the big fireworks display are expensive and sell out quickly. I (Regine) was also very unsure whether my bruised knee would be able to cope with standing for hours in the cold and wet. We went back and forth. At some point Marco said: Or do we want to go to the ice hotel after all? My eyes light up 😊 😊

If anything, we’d like it to be winter – the ice hotel we’re talking about is set up every year at the beginning of winter at the highest point of the Transfăgărășan in Romania and attracted us last year. Let me know, maybe there’s still something available. We’d just need snow chains. The Transfăgărășan is closed from October to April, but there is a small cable car up to the hotel. We both liked this plan more and more and it would be much more suitable for Pawtrail Adventures. So we now had London as plan A and the ice hotel as plan B.

But, as you know, big plans don’t always work out. Our Vitaralino, which we had registered for the London low emission zone with a lot of effort, made the odd strange noise in the summer, so we had it checked again.

The end of the story, read for yourself: Sometimes things turn out differently…

What a pity. Of course we could take one of our Daily’s to London, but it would be more sensible to stay at home in terms of costs alone. Or would it? Let us surprise you. 🙃
