Not your average holiday!

Who doesn’t know the feeling – leftover vacation days! And not just a few – I had a solid 15 days saved up. Regine, unfortunately, wasn’t quite as lucky when it came to her time off. But spending four weeks around Easter just sitting at home? Nope – we can do better than that!

So: something I’ve always wanted to do – ride a motorcycle through the Alps!
Boom, idea born. 🏍️⛰️

Join me on this little adventure that takes me through the Sauerland, into the Vosges, across Switzerland, and (hopefully) over a few open Alpine passes. The plan is loosely set – but will it all work out? Many of the high passes are still closed due to heavy snow, and let’s be honest: the best stories always begin when things don’t go according to plan 😅

This time, things will be a little different when it comes to the travel reports. No laptop, no drone – so no daily live updates. Photos? Only if I happen to stop and actually remember to take some (really missing Regine as my head of photography on this one!).
But I will try to post a bit more on Instagram. Feel free to follow us there – and of course you’ll also find everything here on the blog, just perhaps with a time delay.

And maybe – just maybe – there’ll be the occasional legendary gas station coffee or an unbelievably good slice of cake along the way.
With a proper rating, of course 😋

So: helmet on, engine started – off to the motorcycle adventure! ✌️
