We – that’s Marco and Regine – have always loved going on vacation. Just like most people, I guess.
We spent our first vacations together in Denmark, roaming through the countryside with our favorite fur nose Sammy and discovering some great places off the beaten track thanks to our hobby of geocaching.

After many great years as a threesome, we had to reorient ourselves a little when Sammy got wings and could only travel with us in our hearts. At first we found it difficult to continue traveling in lonely nature, but the fascination of “pure nature” never let us go. Marco came to Romania in 2023 on a men’s road trip (carbage run) and was immediately impressed by the country, its people and nature. So much so that 3 months later we set off together on a road trip through Romania in a rental car. It quickly became clear that we had found our “vacation alternative” and new passion. Exploring foreign countries off-road in your own vehicle, great nature and adventure. During this first vacation, I (Regine) shared our experiences every evening in my Whatsapp status and received a lot of encouragement and applause. The questions about the next trip became more and more frequent 😀

All these developments led us to buy a car and start this blog.

Why “Pawtrail Adventures”? – In memory of our Sammy, who loved to explore and discover the paths off the beaten track with us, we are adventurous, love and appreciate nature.
